Bring Your Best Friend Along – We’re Dog Friendly!

At DFW Car & Toy Museum, we believe that family adventures are even better when every family member can join—including the four-legged ones. That’s why we’re proud to be a dog-friendly museum! Whether you’re stopping by to admire our vintage cars or taking a nostalgic walk through our toy exhibits, your well-behaved pup is welcome to tag along and enjoy the journey with you.

Why We Welcome Dogs

We know that for many visitors, dogs are more than just pets—they’re cherished companions. That’s why we’ve created a welcoming environment for dogs and their humans to experience something fun together. Our spacious layout, climate-controlled environment, and relaxed atmosphere make the DFW Car & Toy Museum a great outing for you and your furry friend.

We believe pet-friendly spaces help build a stronger, more inclusive community. And with so many dog owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we’re proud to be part of a growing movement to make art, history, and culture more accessible to everyone—including our canine companions.

What to Expect During Your Visit
Your dog is welcome in all public, non-restricted areas of the museum. That means you can explore our classic car collections, rare toys, and rotating exhibits without having to leave your pup behind. Here’s what you can expect during your visit:

Water stations: Stay hydrated! We provide fresh water bowls at several stations throughout the museum.
Outdoor relief area: There’s a designated doggie relief spot just outside the entrance. Waste bags are available to make clean-up easy and responsible.
Air-conditioned comfort: The museum is fully climate-controlled, so your dog will stay cool and comfortable, no matter the Texas weather.
Guidelines for a Dog-Friendly Visit
To keep the museum safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask that all guests with dogs follow a few simple guidelines:

Dogs must be leashed at all times.
Please keep your dog under control and well-behaved around other visitors and pets.
Use the designated relief areas for bathroom breaks and clean up after your pet promptly.
Dogs must be non-aggressive and comfortable around people and other dogs.
We allow up to two dogs per adult visitor.
If your dog causes disruption or damage, you may be asked to leave (though we hope that won’t happen!).
Not Just for Dogs—Fun for Everyone
While your pup may not fully appreciate the craftsmanship of a 1965 Mustang or the charm of a vintage Barbie Dreamhouse, we promise they’ll love the attention, new smells, and the chance to explore somewhere new. And you? You’ll love not having to leave your best friend at home while you enjoy the museum’s vast collection of classic cars, collectible toys, and hidden gems from decades past.

Planning a doggy date day? We even recommend nearby dog-friendly cafes and parks you can enjoy before or after your visit—just ask our front desk team for recommendations!

Service Animals Are Always Welcome
In accordance with the ADA, service animals are always permitted in the museum. If your dog is a trained service animal, you’re welcome to bring them in, regardless of pet policies.
