1973 Volkswagen Type 3 Notchback 4-Speed
This 1973 Volkswagen Type 3 notchback was sold new in Germany where it reportedly remained under the care of one family until being purchased by the selling dealer in 2024 and imported to the US. The car is powered by a 1,584cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The car wears an older repaint in white and exterior details include chrome trim, VW-branded rear mudflaps, and dual side mirrors.
Braking is handled by drums at each corner. The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 170-km/h speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 54k kilometers (~34k miles). Power is provided by a 1,584cc flat-four with dual carburetors. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
