vw Karmann Ghia Type 34 – Beige 1967
1967 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Type 34
This 1967 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Type 34 was purchased new in Europe and is said to have been imported to the United States by a military service member. The Type 34 body was styled by Italian design firm Carrozzeria Ghia and built by Karmann, and the model was never offered in the United States.
Appointments include a heater, crank windows, a locking glovebox, a passenger grab handle, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring with a Wolfsburg badge and it frames a 100-mph speedometer, an aftermarket 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles.
The front trunk houses a fuel tank and a spare wheel. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
