VW Hebmuleer green, convertible 1951
This Volkswagen Beetle convertible was refurbished in South America in the style of a Hebmuller Cabriolet. Power comes from a retrofitted 1.6L flat-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and the car is equipped with front disc brakes, wide-whitewall tires, and electronic ignition.
A banjo-style steering wheel frames a body-color metal dash. The reverse-sweep 120 km/h speedometer contains a mechanical odometer that shows 33k miles. The seller states the car was retrofitted with a 1.6-liter flat-four. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
A reproduction Hebmuller data tag is stamped with a construction number of 145060, which matches the stampings shown on the body and pan as well as the VIN indicated on the Florida title, which lists the car as a 1951 Volkswagen.
