1965 Volkswagen Beetle

This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle has been kept on display in a showroom. Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles. The 1.2-liter flat-four features a Solex downdraft carburetor for a factory rating of 40 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.

Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners. Work in March 2024 is said to have consisted of an oil change, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the battery, fuel pump, and fuel lines.
