1996 Toyota TownAce 4×4 5-Speed Fuel Truck

This 1996 Toyota TownAce is a right-hand-drive pickup that was acquired out of Japan and imported to the US in 2024 by the selling dealer. The truck has been fitted with a 450-liter fuel tank in the bed and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four linked with a column-shifted five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a push-button four-wheel-drive system.

An M.K Lorry 450-liter fuel tank is installed in the bed. The tank is constructed of aluminum and is equipped with a pump along with a fuel-level gauge. The right-hand-drive cabin features a split bench seat trimmed in gray vinyl with patterned cloth inserts. Four-wheel drive is engaged via a button on the dash, while low-range can be selected utilizing a floor-mounted shift lever.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-km/h speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The 1.8-liter 2Y inline-four is accessible from beneath the front seat and was rated at 77 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear or all-four wheels through a column-shifted five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
