Renault 4CV Roadster Blue body by Legros 1950

Developed by Renault during World War II, the 4CV was introduced in 1947 with monocoque construction and became the first French car to sell over one million units. This example is said to have been produced as a roadster with steel bodywork hand-formed by Belgian coachbuilder Legros. Further exterior details include driving lamps, dual side mirrors, a shortened windscreen, a louvered deck lid, and a single exhaust outlet. The two-spoke ivory-finished steering wheel fronts a Jaeger instrument cluster that houses a 120-km/h speedometer flanked by displays for coolant and oil temperatures, fuel level, and battery charge. The five-digit odometer shows 38k kilometers (~24k miles). The replacement 845cc Ventoux inline-four is equipped with a single Solex carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transaxle.
