Ford Model A Hot Rod 1930
302-Powered 1930 Ford Model A Hot Rod
The five-window coupe’s body is mounted over a partially boxed frame that is Z’d at the front. The front suspension consists of a Model B-style front axle fitted with disc brake spindles, a pan-hard bar, shock absorbers, and radius rods, while the rear suspension has been fitted with ladder bars and coil overs. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage.
The 302ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt before being installed as part of the build in 2018. It is equipped with Billet Specialties valve covers, billet pulleys, MSD ignition components, tubular Patriot “outside chassis” headers, and twin Edelbrock carburetors topped with an open-element air cleaner.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a C10 three-speed automatic transmission mounted to a tubular crossmember.
