Fiat 1500 Cabriolet Gray 1966
1966 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet 5-Speed
This 1966 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet is a US-market example that was built on April 26, 1966; the car was the subject of a multi-year refurbishment beginning in 2021 that involved repairing rust, repainting the body in gray, and repairing the braking, cooling, and electrical systems. The 1.5-liter inline-four is fitted with a single Weber downdraft carburetor, and shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission.
Further equipment includes 14″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, and an independent front suspension as well as a black vinyl soft top and low-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl.
The 1500 features a coil-spring independent front suspension as well as a live rear axle with leaf springs out back, while stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The three-spoke steering wheel is scratched and frames a 120-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer that incorporate inset gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles. The 1.5-liter inline-four is fed by a single Weber downdraft carburetor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox, which was reportedly resealed as part of the refurbishment along with the differential.
