1981 DeLorean DMC-12 5-Speed

This 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 remained with its original owner until 2016 and it now shows 13k miles. Powered by a 2.85-liter V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, it features unfinished stainless steel body panels over a black leather interior. Equipment includes gullwing doors, rear window louvers, 14″ and 15″ turbine-style aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, air conditioning, and an AM/FM stereo.

The DMC-12 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign and features unfinished stainless-steel panels over a fiberglass underbody mounted to a Lotus-derived double-Y steel chassis. Features include gray urethane bumper caps, counterbalanced gullwing doors, a louvered engine cover, dual exhaust outlets, black side stripes and moldings, quadruple headlights, and a front spoiler. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at each corner.

Interior equipment includes air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, power-operated windows, central locking, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a tilting and telescoping steering column. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.
