Buick Reatta NHRA Funny Car Kenny Bernstein Red 1988
Nicknamed the “King of Speed,” Kenny Bernstein is an American drag racing legend who began his professional pursuit of speed in 1978 behind the wheel of an NHRA Funny Car. Over the course of his illustrious career, he was crowned champion in the Funny Car class four consecutive times between 1985 and 1988 and twice in the Top Fuel class in 1996 and 2001. This is on top of his many racing and speed records, as well as his ownership of both NASCAR and IndyCar teams.
This style of drag racer was campaigned by Bernstein in his final champion season before he moved up to the Top Fuel category for 1989. The chassis is fitted with a non-running engine, and the bodywork features Bernstein’s iconic “Budweiser King” livery. Hailing from the “King of Speed’s” final championship-winning Funny Car year.
