BMW Z1 – Red 1990
1990 BMW Z1
This 1990 BMW Z1 is one of approximately 8,000 examples produced from 1989 through 1991. The car is powered by a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional features include unique vertically-retractable doors. Each corner is equipped with disc brakes. All Z1s were left-hand drive and delivered without air conditioning.
This example is equipped with a factory cassette radio and a digital clock. A three-spoke steering wheels sits ahead of factory instrumentation, including a VDO 240-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges to monitor fuel level and temperature. The 2.5-liter M20B25 inline-six was shared with the contemporary 325i and was rated for 168 horsepower with 164 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
