Aston Martin Lagonda 1989
1989 Aston Martin Lagonda
This 1989 Aston Martin Lagonda is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
The Series 4 Lagonda was restyled by the car’s original designer, William Towns, which included replacement of the earlier pop-up headlights with three fixed units on either side of the grille. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension and self-leveling rear Koni shocks. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, the rear of which are mounted inboard of the hubs.
Burled walnut veneers accent the dashboard, center console, and door panels, and Wilton wool carpeting lines the floors. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, a period Panasonic carphone, and a Sony cassette deck that is linked to a trunk-mounted CD changer. A red leather-trimmed steering wheel frames digital instrumentation consisting of a central 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary indicators. The digital odometer indicates 36k miles. The hand built 5.3-liter DOHC aluminum V8 is equipped with a Weber-Marelli fuel injection system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Chrysler-sourced three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
