Alfa Romeo Montreal 1972

1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal

This 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal is a left-hand drive example that was sold new in Italy and is said to have resided in Sicily before being imported into the UK. Power is from a fuel-injected 2.6-liter V8 backed by a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The Bertone-designed Montreal debuted at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, and approximately 3,900 were built between 1971 and 1975. The car was reportedly used by Alfaholics for development of their “Fast Road” adjustable suspension package and four-piston disc brakes.

Additional components include Alfaholics inner and outer track rod ends and shortened stock coil springs. Jaeger instruments are housed in twin binnacles behind a three-spoke steering wheel with a wood rim. The Borletti air conditioning system is said to remain functional has been serviced with new belts, oil and wiring. Power is routed through a ZF five-speed manual transmission with a dogleg shift pattern and a limited-slip differential. The clutch and driveline mounts have been replaced in the last 4k miles of driving.
