Nash Metropolitan Hardtop 1957

1957 NASH METROPOLITAN HARDTOP

This 1957 Nash Metropolitan hardtop spent the last 39 years with a single owner who commissioned a refurbishment in the 1990s that included a repaint in Sunburst Yellow and Snowberry White.

The car was finished from the factory in Sunburst Yellow (P910) and Snowberry White (P909) and it was refinished in those colors approximately three decades ago. The cabin was trimmed from the factory in black and white houndstooth cloth and vinyl and it was reupholstered in that pattern during the refurbishment.

The 1.5-liter Austin B-Series inline-four was factory equipped with a single Zenith downdraft carburetor and was rated at 52 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.
