Mercedes 220se – 2 Door Convertible 1980
1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE Cabriolet
This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE cabriolet was modified in the 2000s with a 4.5-liter M117 V8; as well as a hood and grille sourced from a 280SE. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shifter.
Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. A Behr air conditioning system has been fitted, and additional appointments include a floor-mounted shifter, a Becker Europa II AM/FM stereo, cruise control, a remote trunk release, heated front seats, CocoMats, and power windows and locks.
VDO instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles. The 4.5-liter M117 V8 features Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection and is said to have been sourced from a European-specification 450SLC. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
